In December 2005, my then-fiancee and I made our to way the nation’s capital: Washington, DC. My intention was to stir things up in the political process, and my now-wife’s was to warm up. The following was filmed on December 20, 2005.

  1. Introduction — A brief introduction to the mall at Capitol Hill, I guess. And this is frozen water. download
  2. Twelve Twenty — We came to DC to meet some people, and change some minds. download
  3. Capitol Tour — Approaching the Capitol, as part of a 45-person tour, we enjoy the sights. download
  4. Capitol Dome — The top of the Capitol Dome is adorned by the statue of freedom. And don’t forget your hat, son. download
  5. Inside — It goes without saying, the Capitol Building is more fun inside. download
  6. Basement — I’m pretty sure the basement of the Capitol is boring by day, steamy by night.download
  7. Old Supreme Court — The Old Supreme Court is in the basement of the Capitol Building. Even back then the third branch was pushed around. download
  8. Outside — After listening to some deliberations in the Senate chambers, I pretend to know what happened. download
  9. Library of Congress — If there is anything you haven’t done in DC, but should have, it is the Library of Congress. download
  10. Gutenberg Bible — My wife isn’t easily impressed, but this bible certainly did the job. It must have been stolen. download
  11. Reading Room — The Library of Congress’ Reading Room makes you think of one thing: All the President’s Men. download
  12. Supreme Court — Our plan to protest outside of the Supreme Court fell through. There were no common causes. download
  13. Protest — A few people were protesting outside the Supreme Court. It was my job to make them feel uncomfortable. download
  14. Bush v. Gore — The legacy of the Supreme Court’s decision in Bush v. Gore makes me tremble. download
  15. Fools –Protesters should get attention, especially if they look like fools. download
  16. Courthouse — My brother’s legacy in Washington will most likely be the U.S. Courthouse. download
  17. Street — While looking for somewhere to eat, I take time to make some introductions to the vlog series. download
  18. Smithsonian — The Smithsonian museums were a real disappointment on our short trip to DC. download
  19. Washington Monument — The Washington Monument provides great views of the National Mall. download
  20. White House — Finishing the tour of the nation’s capital with the White House is classy, you must admit. download
  21. Pennsylvania Avenue — Strolling along Pennsylvania Avenue makes you feel like you’re in control of things, even though you’re not. download
  22. Other Side — The other side of the White House is clearly the better side. You’ll see what I mean. download
  23. Jackson Place — Jackson Place is home to Bush’s stomping grounds after work: the Office of Faith-Based Initiatives. download
  24. Leaving — Leaving DC without mentioning our Christopher Hitchens sighting would be blasphemous. download

The Office: Raw & Uncut. As a Halloween project for work, our branch office got together and filmed a short movie with the idea of Batman starting work at the company. These are the outtakes and bloopers. Filmed on October 28, 2005.

Astound
When Mama Lupe comes to town, everyone has a good time. 10/15/2005.

The first-ever Mama Lupe festival was held in San Francisco on October 15, 2005. I was there to capture what took place.

  1. Interrogation — Interrogating people you don’t know gets them on edge. This guy studied in Mahxsay. download
  2. ENGEO — This is a question that has plagued people for centuries, well, at least a decade or two. What is ENGEO? download
  3. Here Comes Bronson — BH Bronson Johnson knows how to make an entrance. download
  4. Seismic — One is either a professional engineer or nothing. download
  5. Astound — The Astound cable package is second-to-none. Only available in Concord and Saint Cloud. download
  6. Face — I’ve been informed that I do not make “the face.” download
  7. Hair — I had been soundly criticized for my dress attire for work. But I still have my hair. download
  8. Coveralls — The jury is still out on whether or not company-issued coveralls would make me more lazy. download
  9. iTunes Wedding — I was the first person to come up with the idea for an iTunes wedding. It was one idea of many. download
  10. Street — Jesús and I discuss the PE exam and smoking on the streets of San Francisco. download

Blue Honda
I visited Philadelphia in October, and hung out with my brother and older sister.
On a weekend in October 2005, I was visiting the Philadelphia region to scout for wedding locations. I was staying at my brother’s place in Bucks County. I had not seen my older sister in just under three years, so she took a train from New York City and my brother and I went to pick her up at the Amtrak station in Princeton Junction.
