Jeffrey Wisniewski (3/18/2008 4:26:07 PM): hey graham
Jeffrey Wisniewski (3/18/2008 4:26:23 PM): i was just commenting on how complete and lengthy it is
Jeffrey Wisniewski (3/18/2008 4:26:33 PM): that should cover all my questions for the gdr
Jeffrey Wisniewski (3/18/2008 4:26:44 PM): almost everything is in there
Graham Bradner (3/18/2008 4:27:37 PM): Excellent. I agree, it is lengthy – its got some useless pieces in it, but overall it’s pretty comprehensive.
———————————————–
Jeffrey Wisniewski (3/18/2008 4:28:37 PM): yea, instead of bugging you, I can refer to this document for most things. i will probably need to talk with you about any issues that have or will come up during drilling though
———————————————–
Graham Bradner (3/18/2008 4:30:44 PM): You should be involved as you can be. As your time allows. Talk with me whenever you need to.

Graham Bradner x4577 (7/10/2008 1:31:25 PM): What’s up?
Jeffrey Wisniewski (7/10/2008 1:31:43 PM): do we have to respond to DWR comments on lab testing, or just adjust
Graham Bradner x4577 (7/10/2008 1:33:27 PM): Consult Ani – I’m not sure. It would depend on the nature of the comment.
Jeffrey Wisniewski (7/10/2008 1:33:35 PM): okay
———————————————–
Graham Bradner x4577 (7/10/2008 2:04:04 PM): Will you be joining us for the 2:00 call?

———————————————–
Jeffrey Wisniewski (7/30/2008 9:28:43 AM): hey graham
Graham Bradner x4577 (7/30/2008 9:28:52 AM): yep?
Jeffrey Wisniewski (7/30/2008 9:29:07 AM): is it okay to delete all of the old saved versions of the SGDR?
Graham Bradner x4577 (7/30/2008 9:29:42 AM): I would keep one backup version – probably the most recent before you combined the documents
———————————————–
Jeffrey Wisniewski (7/30/2008 11:01:24 AM): SGDR ready
———————————————–
Graham Bradner x4577 (7/30/2008 11:26:24 AM): Can you search through the docs and come with mileage for the ring levee and panhandle? I think it should be something like 7.6 miles for ring and 3.4 for panhandle, but I’m not sure.
Jeffrey Wisniewski (7/30/2008 11:26:34 AM): yes
Jeffrey Wisniewski (7/30/2008 11:26:42 AM): i saw that in PGDR and PGER
Jeffrey Wisniewski (7/30/2008 11:26:55 AM): give me one sec
Jeffrey Wisniewski (7/30/2008 11:28:41 AM): from PGER…
Jeffrey Wisniewski (7/30/2008 11:28:42 AM): The Marysville levee system consists of three segments for this evaluation: Units 1, 2 and 3. Total length of the three levee segments is approximately 11.5 miles, including roughly 7.6 miles of levee surrounding the city of Marysville and 3.9 miles of levees known as the panhandle, aligned southwest-northeast along State Highway 20 (see Figures 1 and 2). At some locations, spur levees extend into the Yuba River from the main levee system. These spur levees divert flow and river currents away from the main levees.
———————————————–
Jeffrey Wisniewski (8/8/2008 11:55:26 AM): the PDF Edit version of the Figures for GEI ITR have the replaced name for M17 — should be M16, and the other M16 is crossed out.
Graham Bradner x4577 (8/8/2008 11:55:53 AM): correct
Jeffrey Wisniewski (8/8/2008 11:56:12 AM): yea, the new version (Edit) has that
———————————————–
Jeffrey Wisniewski (8/8/2008 12:11:27 PM): the P1 exploration summary is n the SGDR Table 4-1.xls for right now. I basically assumed the same stationing for the wells as the associated borings (001M-008M). I am not sure of the drilling type?
Graham Bradner x4577 (8/8/2008 12:12:01 PM): They were installed in sonic borings.
———————————————–
Jeffrey Wisniewski (8/13/2008 11:18:38 AM): hey graham
Jeffrey Wisniewski (8/13/2008 11:18:54 AM): the hammer energy efficiency tests
Graham Bradner x4577 (8/13/2008 11:18:55 AM): yep?
Jeffrey Wisniewski (8/13/2008 11:19:07 AM): were conducted on drilling rigs that used automatic hammers, correct?
Graham Bradner x4577 (8/13/2008 11:19:15 AM): correct
Jeffrey Wisniewski (8/13/2008 11:19:17 AM): and there was a seventh rig
Jeffrey Wisniewski (8/13/2008 11:19:24 AM): which used?
Graham Bradner x4577 (8/13/2008 11:20:11 AM): the Rhino M-5 track rig had a percussion hammer – doesn’t produce blow counts- only used on piezo installation
Jeffrey Wisniewski (8/13/2008 3:35:57 PM): hey. can i start printing the appendices?
Graham Bradner x4577 (8/13/2008 3:36:10 PM): Yes
———————————————–
Jeffrey Wisniewski (8/21/2008 3:50:31 PM): do u want me to accept these changes; or keep track of my new ones
Graham Bradner x4577 (8/21/2008 3:50:54 PM): keep track of yours. I will go through it one more time tomorrow
———————————————–
Jeffrey Wisniewski (8/21/2008 4:23:36 PM): from Claudio’s memo…
Jeffrey Wisniewski (8/21/2008 4:23:37 PM): The P1GDR and SGDR text will include a discussion that the consistency is based upon field measurements or lab data only.
Jeffrey Wisniewski (8/21/2008 4:24:02 PM): do we have that?
Graham Bradner x4577 (8/21/2008 4:24:32 PM): I don’t think we say that – go ahead and add it if you have a place in mind.
———————————————–
Graham Bradner x4577 (8/22/2008 11:45:10 AM): How do I turn off the line numbers in the margin?
———————————————–
Graham Bradner x4577 (9/2/2008 9:49:14 AM): Jeff – Do you have Steve’s comments on the Marysville SGDR?
Jeffrey Wisniewski (9/2/2008 9:49:19 AM): yes
Graham Bradner x4577 (9/2/2008 9:49:32 AM): OK – I’ll have to get those from you in a bit
Jeffrey Wisniewski (9/2/2008 9:49:43 AM): ok
———————————————–
Jeffrey Wisniewski (9/5/2008 12:00:10 PM): are u done editing the report?
———————————————–
Jeffrey Wisniewski (9/5/2008 2:21:29 PM): did you update/modify the comments response form?
Graham Bradner x4577 (9/5/2008 2:22:00 PM): I did not modify it since earlier today. I needed to print out a copy.
Jeffrey Wisniewski (9/5/2008 2:22:05 PM): ok
———————————————–
Jeffrey Wisniewski (9/5/2008 4:37:52 PM): we’re not sending 2-1 through 2-7 to URS for this submittal, correct?
Graham Bradner x4577 (9/5/2008 4:38:42 PM): I believe Karen already provided those figure templates to URS – hopefully they will include them in the SGDR. Karen just needs to provide an updated database, if needed.
Jeffrey Wisniewski (9/5/2008 4:39:39 PM): but i should remove reference to those figures in the text
Graham Bradner x4577 (9/5/2008 4:40:04 PM): No, not yet. They may still be included.
Jeffrey Wisniewski (9/5/2008 4:40:07 PM): ok
———————————————–

Jeffrey Wisniewski (9/16/2008 10:47:39 AM): the katrina devastation tour was interesting
Jeffrey Wisniewski (9/16/2008 10:47:49 AM): pretty much, it was all the Corps fault
Graham Bradner x4577 (9/16/2008 10:48:08 AM): interesting – who’s opinion was that?
Jeffrey Wisniewski (9/16/2008 10:48:36 AM): the Geologist who gave us the tour — a professor at Tulane
Graham Bradner x4577 (9/16/2008 10:48:37 AM): I’ve heard the Corps take some responsibility for the failures down there
Graham Bradner x4577 (9/16/2008 10:49:18 AM): there may be some additional affiliations between the University and State – it would make sense to blame the Corps
Jeffrey Wisniewski (9/16/2008 10:49:36 AM): yea, he said as much, but he was suggesting that USACE was only taking half the blame, etc.
Jeffrey Wisniewski (9/16/2008 10:49:41 AM): yea, i could see he was biased
Jeffrey Wisniewski (9/16/2008 10:49:52 AM): but it was interesting nonetheless

Jeffrey Wisniewski (9/16/2008 10:52:00 AM): oh yea, funny thing, there were some Corps people on the tour
Jeffrey Wisniewski (9/16/2008 10:52:07 AM): that must have been awkward
Graham Bradner x4577 (9/16/2008 10:52:14 AM): what did they think?
Jeffrey Wisniewski (9/16/2008 10:52:15 AM): but i don’t think th etour guide cared
Graham Bradner x4577 (9/16/2008 10:52:23 AM): gotcha
